Learning the current patterns to plan your sail into the harbour is essential, especially if you want to sail up the East River and into the Long Island Sound. Whats the secret? Honestly I do not know, on day 7 my patience run out, I was annoyed and angry the whole day, the little sleep was catching up with me and the fact that we were moving excruciating slowly at 2-4kts made me over-frustrated. If you have any tips on how to stay calm on low-wind days, feel free to share them in the comments.
