How to tie a Double sheet bend. #katknots. ▫️ The double sheet bend joins two ropes of different thicknesses well especially if they are wet. Also known as the double flag bend. Make sure both working ends are on the same side when completed. It's stronger that way. ▫️ Form a bight (loop) with the thicker rope. Keep the end up top. ▫️ Thread the thinner line through the loop as shown and then round behind the thicker rope. ▫️ Pass the working end of the thinner line round the neck of your loop. Then tuck the thinner line back under itself twice. We stopped on over to Long Island from George Town, Bahamas for a few days. We anchored out in Thompson Bay, near Salt Pond. There's a dinghy dock that is privately owned north of the Government Dock. We've been told that the owners are very gracious to allow cruisers to use it...and we agree. It's super nice. Just outside of the fence, there are some garbage cans for garbage. I forget about the exact name of the street, but I learned it's named after the family that owns the property nearby, Basil. Take a right on Queens Highway and the Farmer's Market is on the right. Perhaps a quarter mile down the road. We bought Long Island Salt, Long Island Pepper Salt, Hot Sauce, Fresh Dill, Fresh Basil and Zucchini Bread.
