We live in New Zealand and Cyclone Gabrielle formed just south of the Solomon Islands and tracked down the East Coast of New Zealand in February 2023. Whilst we were very fortunate to make it through this experience unharmed, Cyclone Gabrielle caused widespread devastation in our home town of Hawke's Bay and along the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Hayley's school work is currently focused on persuasive texts. In her current module she was required to make an advertisement for Antarctic Ice. Hayley thought making a 30 second TV ad would be fun. Acting team was recruited (from another boat as well as ours) and the director set to work!
