Meet Kate, one of our crew members here at Sail San Diego! Kate has been on our crew for almost a year now & is one of the friendly faces you’ll meet upon arrival at our sailing lounge & retail shop before setting sail. Kate is a mom of three, 2 of which were twins born on Halloween! 🎃 🎃 She’s an incredible addition to our crew and loves any chance she's able to hop on board a sail. ⛵️ When asked what her favorite thing about sailing is? Her response: Feeling the warmth of the sun 🌞 and just being able to disconnect for 3 hours while out on the water. 🌊🌊

Vitalia II (ex Orange II) is the fastest catamaran to have sailed around the world in 50 days 16 hours 20 minutes and 4 seconds. She held the overall record from 2005 to 2010 until it was broken by an Últim class trimaran, Groupama 3. ▫️ Do you think you could sail her as quickly as the skipper, Bruno Peyron did? ▫️ Robert Knox-Johnston went round in 1968/69 in 313 days on Suhaili (3.39 knots average). ▫️ There's a typo in the reel 🙄.
