Introducing the LMF 22 which was launched at the beginning of the summer for buoy and waterway maintenance operations in the lakes of Maine. Despite it's relatively small size, the boat routinely carries a cargo of 2500lbs consisting of buoys, anchors, and chain. The buoys and gear are worked via a davit at the side hull cutout. A bow thruster was also installed to help keep the boat on station. The deck layout is particularly uncluttered, with minimalist helm stations. The weight calculation of around 31,000 lbs (14 t) and the generous sail area (1,840 square feet/171 m² upwind) guarantee excellent performance even in light airs.
