It was all plan sailing until the skipper forgot to duck. The speed at which the boom crosses the boat during a gybe makes it a dangerous weapon. This video should be a reminder to everyone to stay safe and to remember to duck when gybing a boat. Luckily no one was hurt other than the skippers pride, he dusted himself off and raced on. As we sailed a pod of dolphins started jumping in the bow wake. Deb jacked in and went forward with the camera to get some pictures. I just shot a quick video of her, but caught some of the dolphins jumping also. Watch the left side of the bow pulpit.
