Poco più di due giorni dalla partenza della Transpac, Maserati Multi 70 continua la sua corsa verso Honolulu sulla scia dei suoi concorrenti, Argo e PowerPlay. Navigando mure a destra, la performance del trimarano italiano è penalizzata dai danni subiti la scorsa notte: Giovanni Soldini spiega: "Senza il foil del timone sinistro è molto difficile controllare l'assetto longitudinale di Maserati Multi 70, che tende ad impennarsi per poi ricadere nell'acqua: a risentirne è ovviamente la velocità. Non vediamo l'ora di strambare!" Maserati Multi 70, agli aggiornamenti delle 3 UTC, navigava a 26 nodi di velocità, una cinquantina di miglia dietro PowerPlay, che procedeva a 28 nodi a 1253 miglia dal traguardo.
