While snorkeling at Fitzroy Island near Cairns, the underwater sound of the passing Humpback Whales singing was almost deafening. This video was recorded on a standard GoPro, in a case, and had not been modified in any way.

Our first sail on Moments in Time alone, with no agenda to follow. We sailed across the Chesapeake Bay in the cloudy skies and spitting rain. We changed course and decided to head up the Patuxent River in the dying winds and made it to St. Leonard Creek sailing at 2.5 knots in a 4-5 knot zephyr. We dropped anchored in St. John’s Creek, christened Moments in Time with some champaign and celebrated our 39th anniversary with a nice meal that was cooked on the Seawind 1260 cockpit grill. O barco Crioula bateu, neste sábado (21), o recorde da regata Alcatrazes por Boreste Marinha do Brasil, prova que abre a Semana de Vela de Ilhabela. A equipe gaúcha fez o percurso de 55 milhas em 6 horas, 1 minuto e 42 segundos. O recorde anterior era do Camiranga, um Soto65, que completou em 6 horas, 4 minutos 03 segundos, em 2015. O veleiro Crioula é um Soto 40 comandando por Eduardo Plass e timoneado pelo atleta olímpico Samuel Albrecht.
