We just sailed 2,250 nautical miles from Chile to Panama and Zambezi gave it her all ⛵️ So did we. But here’s the truth: offshore sailing will always find your weak points. Here’s what didn’t survive: ⚙️ Steering wire 💥 Spinnaker (luckily @rollytaskersails_official is already working on our replacement 🙏) 🔩 Genoa shackle 🧩 Main sheet bloc 🛠 Engine acceleration lever 🐟 …and a shameful number of fishing lines 😅 No major damage, just a lot of salty lessons and toolbox hours. This is why preparation matters and why we carry way more spare parts than we used to. Tell us what’s broken on your longest passage? Or what spare would you never leave without? ⚓️ Want to feel more prepared? Comment “offshore” and we’ll send you our Offshore Sailing Bundle—real lessons, real tools, zero fluff. Stay Salty! 5 days of adventure, challenges, and teamwork! Not a lot of wind for the most part but the little we got made for some amazing sailing at times. Out to Moturekareka island, on out to Great Barrier for 2 nights before a magical night sail back to Motutapu for the last night. The lads then took charge of the yacht on the last day, and sailed us safely home. Knot work, Raft building, beach games and a huge beach clean up at Rangiwhakea Bay. Well done team!
