🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [7/52] 🪢 Our gas oven only has heating from below, and when first moving onboard cooking in it was a real struggle! The food got badly burnt on the underside and was often undercooked on the topside, resulting in really bad cooking 🧑🍳 But since we got this advice during our first winter as liveaboards our cooking game has improved so much! So, now it’s time for us to pass the knowledge forward. If you have a gas oven with no top heating, you must try this! Maverick 440 Bossa Nova filmed on anchor outside of Hope Town Harbour in the Bahamas in Feb 2015. The draft of the Maverick 440 is just on 1 meter / or just over 3 ft, so it has the shallowest draft of any fixed keel cruising catamaran in its class. You can see this as the yacht is in just on 4ft of water. The shallow draft if you access to move anchorages, more locations, and a higher safety margin when you sailing around in the tropical islands.
