One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, crossing the finish line at the end of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. Jazz is terminally ill with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and is a full-time wheelchair user. After 28 days sailing around the UK and Ireland single-handed, non-stop and unassisted, Jazz arrived back at Brighton Marina around 13:30 on Monday 30th June 2025. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. La Gran Ruta del Íbero empezó el 17 de noviembre del 2012 partiendo desde el puerto base, el Port del Masnou. Hicimos escala en San Antoni (Ibiza), Benalmádena (Málaga), Lanzarote (Islas Canarias), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y atravesamos en diciembre el Atlántico beneficiándonos de los alisios para llegar a Martinica (Caribe francés) el 8 de enero de 2013 por la mañana, completando así la primera etapa de este viaje.
