One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, crossing the finish line at the end of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. Jazz is terminally ill with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and is a full-time wheelchair user. After 28 days sailing around the UK and Ireland single-handed, non-stop and unassisted, Jazz arrived back at Brighton Marina around 13:30 on Monday 30th June 2025. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. Its a beautiful day and we are having a bit of lunch on our way to Sydney Australia. This is our first major cruise shortly after launching. The boat has a temporary mast just over 6m long that we made up ourselves from 2 pieces of mast section, sleeved in the middle and erected on the beach at Southwest Rocks. We used 6 hand swagged wires.
