One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today lunchtime news whilst sailing on her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. Sapevamo che sarebbero arrivati, ma fanno sempre male. Per quanto uno desideri la propria intimità, i propri ritmi, le proprie abitudini, quando si presenta un vuoto cerchiamo in ogni modo di colmarlo. Fa parte di noi, d’altronde. Rifiutare il dolore tanto quanto ricercare i legami. E noi, in questo viaggio durato molto più di un mese e mezzo, abbiamo creato qualcosa di indissolubile. Per quanto sia una cosa passeggera e blablabla, oggi una maglia di questa catena si è sganciata e noi ci sentiamo inevitabilmente meno solidi. ❤️
