It felt that our sailing season was cut short. We just took delivery of “Moments in Time” back in April and now she is already laid up for the winter. A colder than normal November and December forced us to put our Seawind 1260 into hibernation. I hope next year we will wise up and simply sail south when the November winds come a calling. Behind the scenes footage of the 12 layers of ink that makes up my final reduction linoprint of my favourite beach view. You will get to see all 12 layers of colour that I used for the final print, and the order that I layered them using the reduction print method and one block of lino. I will be sharing a variety of different guides and projects over the coming weeks, so please like and subscribe for more content, and comment below if you have any questions. During this dusk dive at Chesil Cove, UK we found this Mermaid's Pouch, containing a live baby shark/ray moving around. The round black shape is the embryo and you can see the tail of the shark moving around. This was filmed around 7pm and at approximately 10m depth. The pouch containing the young shark is a tough leathery material that has attached itself to this plant life. Shining a light behind the pouch creates a silhouette of the baby shark that can be seen from the other side. There was some surge during the dive, as can be seen by the rocking in the video. This movement was caused by the water conditions, we were very careful not to touch the plant or of course, the Mermaid's Pouch itself. Thanks for watching :)
