iFLY European Cup – Le Mailly 2025 | Day 2 🚀 A day of pure racing, precision, and shared passion. Thrilling battles on Lake Geneva, powered by both skill and camaraderie. The iFLY community once again showed what makes this event unique: competitive spirit, outstanding performance, and the joy of meeting friends who share the same love for foiling. Today’s highlights included flying fast past Geneva’s iconic Jet d’Eau and unforgettable moments on the water. ✨ “While racing our iFLY15s, we even crossed paths with the SailGP F50s – two worlds of foiling, one shared lake.” 📍 Le Mailly, Lake Geneva, Switzerland #iFLY15 #Foiling #FormulaFoil #LakeGeneva #SailingCommunity #HighPerformanceSailing #SailGP
The wind in the sails is a relentless force. The waves build up and begin to foam, growling as they pass, and you feel the power of nature deep down in your stomach. It's not that we're unafraid of the storm; it’s that we're willing to face it anyway. We reef the sails, our hands clutching the ropes, muscles aching with effort, and bring the boat under control. We continue, not because we ignore the danger, but because we understand that sometimes, the most beautiful things in life are found beyond our fears. We know that beyond that fear lie the most breathtaking experiences: the sun setting over an endless ocean, the peaceful quiet of a starry night far from shore, and the thrill of catching the perfect breeze. These moments make every challenging journey worthwhile. Sailing teaches us that true courage isn’t about lacking fear; it’s about being willing to embrace the journey and face your fears. This is how we grow ❤️
At the south of Mallorca, Porto Cristo we went at anchor. Already in March, the prices to stay at marina's here are very high. But in the marina we saw a silver large catamaran. It belongs to tennisplayer Rafael Nadal, who accomodates his motorboat here. Our boat is 42 ft, so it fits twice into this Sunreef! The ship is called 'Great White' and has costs 8 millon euro's. The interior inside is luxurious, with a table tennis table (of course!) and a garage below with jetski's and seabobs. We took our dingue and admired Rafa's boat!
