The finish to Race 3 of the annual Narrows Regatta on Strangford Lough was a quick reach to the finish after the breeze picked up and pivoted 180 degrees. It was next to impossible for the J109 GTR to match it with the VX1 Sports boats which blasted past on the way back to Portaferry. The chasing VX1 where having a tough time keeping their height as the pressure built so while they were a lot faster they ended up sailing greater distance which kept GTR in the race The J109 GTR could not compete in this race but went on to take the overall series win with a consistent performance across the weekend. Start with a fun drive down to the Lake and visit the lakeside temple, before boarding log canoes, paddling across Tamblingan Lake. Head up into more challenging territory through mandarin and coffee plants, following earth tracks to the rainforest. Take a break for a short walk into the Rainforest, to see the luxuriant vegetation and wildlife. Bali is famed for the rich flavours of its coffee, and the first stop on this outing after a gentle downhill ride is a coffee plantation where you will experience some of Bali’s local coffee culture — the roasting of the beans on an open fire and pounding with a wooden pestle. Upon arrival at the Green Circuit, Here you will enjoy a couple of rounds of racing fun to get your adrenaline pumping! Enjoy the short 20-minute drive from here back to Munduk Wilderness Base Camp for early Dinner.

This video was taken at the dock by Andy on 10/10 @ 4am. I am just now able to post. The boat faired well and is fine. As soon as we can get on the dock to assess for damage we will. Hope everyone faired well too!
