The first days at sea with the new Hallberg-Rassy 44 Mk II have given us a very positive first impression. She has a fantastic rudder feel, allowing you to steer her effortlessly with just your fingertips. Even when pushing her close to the limit in a fresh breeze, she remains perfectly balanced and easy to control. The twin rudders provide exceptional grip and confidence, while the carbon steering wheel enhances that feeling even further. During our first sail, she remained beautifully balanced and light on the helm, even carrying full sail in gusts of 28-30 knots. Instead of feeling overpowered, she simply converted the extra pressure into speed, reaching a top speed of 12.5 knots. The in-mast furling carbon mast has taken an already great yacht to another level. Compared with an aluminium mast, its lower weight and greater stiffness allow you to carry more sail area in fresher winds while maintaining excellent balance and control. Beyond these obvious advantages, the carbon mast is also more responsive when trimming and tuning the rig. A fantastic yacht has become even better. Jonas Zelleroth. World premiere at Open Boatyard/Öppet Varv 21-23 August 2026 in Ellös, Sweden. https://www.hallberg-rassy.com/yachts/hallberg-rassy-44-mk-ii

In this episode of Sailing Sacred Seas, we say goodbye to the magical island of Ibiza and set sail on our second offshore passage to Mallorca aboard our Liveaboard sailboat, Kaia our Lagoon 440. With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera. We explore the historic heart of Palma, including the stunning Palma Cathedral (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, before enjoying some authentic Mallorcan cuisine at a local favorite. Back on board, it’s time for some essential sailboat maintenance. We take down our headsail, inspect and lubricate the furling system, and patch a few tears on the leech. With Vika on the winch and Kaia back in shape, we’re ready to continue our journey. From scenic anchorages along Mallorca’s rugged north coast, to hiding out in a marina during a passing mistral storm, this leg of our journey is filled with beauty, challenge, and rhythm of life at sea. 👉 Next up: Menorca – raw, wild, and deeply peaceful. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to follow our journey as we sail sacred seas! 👍🏼👌🏼 Thanks for your support ❤️ Link in bio or search YouTube for ‘Sailing Sacred Seas’ – let’s set sail together! ⚓💙 We hope that you will follow us on insta, Facebook and YouTube - SAILING SACRED SEAS #sailing #yacht #cruiser #sailingboat #travel #wanderlust #nature #adventure #boatlife #lagoon440 #lagooncatamaran #sailingyoutube #catamaran #mallorca
