Blackbeard, the pirate, famous in the golden age of sail, was known for his fearsome appearance. He was a tall man with a long, black beard that he would tie in braids. The rudder broke off my Catalina 25 and did not feel like spending over a thousand dollars on a new one. I've had some ponderosa pine laying around in my garage, however I should have used marine grade plywood. I would have been easer and quicker to craft.
