Fellow GFC Camper owners: I found some great, easy-to-install latch covers over on Etsy. I also squirted a bit of silicone grease down into the spring mechanism of my latches. So far, there have been no problems opening the latches in icy, cold, below-zero Canadian weather. I went to Wakra Beach today on friday, (the main beach NOT next to the family beach) and there was no police to be seen. People were swimming and kitesurfing would have been no problem. It looks to me like the beach is available for us kiters again!
