Fellow GFC Camper owners: I found some great, easy-to-install latch covers over on Etsy. I also squirted a bit of silicone grease down into the spring mechanism of my latches. So far, there have been no problems opening the latches in icy, cold, below-zero Canadian weather. Batu Bolong is easily one of Komodo's best sites, weather you're diving or snorkeling, there is always so much to see. From the immaculate hard coral reef which extends from the to well beyond recreation dive limits that literally bursts with fish life, to the larger fish like giant trevally who form big congregations, and of course all the giant sea-turtles who live on this small rock in the middle of the Komodo.

Toni and I planned the day with family at Solomons. Keeping a boat in Solomons does have it perks. We did some boat chores, swam in the pool, had some drinks at the bar and told tall stories, cooked burgers and dogs, and then enjoyed fireworks from the forward lounge of Moments in Time.
