Some of you may remember Sasha, the little falcon we rescued after finding her exhausted in the ocean. She couldn’t fly and was far too weak to survive on her own, so she became an unexpected crew member aboard our catamaran for about two weeks. We made sure she had food, a safe place to rest, and time to recover. Day by day, her strength returned until she was finally ready to fly free again. Looking back at these memories reminds us how lucky we were to share part of our journey with such a beautiful wild bird. We had a wonderful 2 months in St. Augustine! We stayed in the mooring field north of the Bridge of Lions. I got a lot of sewing projects done but it wasn’t all work and no play. We visited local breweries, taco stands, restaurants, ran and did some yoga, had family visit and met lots new and old friends.
