After anchoring at Brick Hill near Cumberland Island, we took about a 4 mile dinghy ride to the Plum Orchard docks. Once there, we hiked across the island to the most amazing beach with literally only 2 other people (way far away). We saw lots of birds, armadillos, a baby tortoise, and of course wild horses. We ❤️ this island/National Park. The weatherman played a trick on us. Yesterday's forecast of clear skies for this evening's trip never materialized. Instead, grey skies blew in on the southeast wind. But no matter! We sailed out close-haul past the Shagwong buoy then enjoyed the long downhill slide back to Culloden Point and around into Fort Pond Bay.
