After anchoring at Brick Hill near Cumberland Island, we took about a 4 mile dinghy ride to the Plum Orchard docks. Once there, we hiked across the island to the most amazing beach with literally only 2 other people (way far away). We saw lots of birds, armadillos, a baby tortoise, and of course wild horses. We ❤️ this island/National Park. Yonder (USA), the team from Newport, Rhode Island, powered by North Sails and skippered by Douglas Newhouse with Jeremy Wilmot on tactics, led from Day 1 and never looked back, clinching the world title after five phenomenal days on the Bay of Palma.
