This time there is a very special highlight on our route: the narrowest strait in the world. Due to strong currents, it can only be crossed at night. During the passage in a group with a few sailing boats, there is a serious traffic jam at the narrowest point! Instead of antifouling, we polish our prop to keep it clean and efficient. The process? Scrape off barnacles Dissolve calcium buildup with acid Polish with progressively finer compounds for a smooth finish ✨ Finally, we grease the prop, add a fresh zinc anode, and apply a final coat of Brasso before launch! Note, that this depends on the condition of your propeller. If it’s really fouled or previously painted, you might need a more thorough process - like we did last year.
