Yellowfin grouper are my absolute favorite reef fish to spear in the Bahamas. And this was my first one. An absolutely delicious fish with a hell of a fight on it. It was great getting to spend a little time away from everyone spearfishing during covid in the Bahamas to get away from it all. . . During our time in Trinidad we spent a weekend at Chacachacare aboard a HUGE catamaran, kindly hosted by HQ2 Charters. One of the highlights was a Trinidadian catch and cook crabbing experience with our Trini mate Neil, who cooked a Tobago Crab Curry inspired recipe that was accidentally missing a few ingredients - you can blame the Stag and rum! It was also our first introduction to Trinidad's Moruga scorpion pepper - that stuff is a spicy flavour bomb in your mouth!
