Join us on an epic multi-day trekking adventure through Chile’s legendary Torres del Paine National Park, deep in the heart of Patagonia. This isn’t our usual sailing journey - this time, we trade the ocean for mountains as we take on one of the most breathtaking destinations in the world. In our travel vlog, we trek almost 80km across the rugged Patagonian wilderness, facing freezing temperatures, brutal climbs, and ever-changing terrain. A brand-new catamaran builder is challenging the status quo with a design that looks more like a spaceship than a sailing yacht. In this video, we travel to a factory near Cape Town in South Africa to see the very first hull of the radical new Onyx 10.5 catamaran. Built by a team determined to rethink what a small cruising catamaran can be, this bold design pushes boundaries both inside and out. We meet the founders to hear the story behind the project and learn how they set out to break away from the conventions of established sailing yacht boat builders. 2025 was the year we took the biggest leap of our lives, buying our very own catamaran and starting our first full liveaboard sailing season. And while it was hands-down the best year we’ve ever had, it also came with some of the most challenging, stressful, and downright terrifying moments we’ve ever faced at sea. In this week’s episode, we set off on an 18-hour overnight crossing back to the mainland that could have ended in disaster. From abandoning our first attempt to sailing through total darkness, our final passage from Corsica to Italy was pretty eventful. But what made everything a little more serious was how close we came to a powerful waterspout forming just behind us! That moment brought back all the news stories we’d read from the Baysian sailing yacht that was struck and sank after being hit by a waterspout last year… and as we watched this one grow on the horizon, we couldn’t look away.
