Join us on an epic multi-day trekking adventure through Chile’s legendary Torres del Paine National Park, deep in the heart of Patagonia. This isn’t our usual sailing journey - this time, we trade the ocean for mountains as we take on one of the most breathtaking destinations in the world. A brand-new catamaran builder is challenging the status quo with a design that looks more like a spaceship than a sailing yacht. In this video, we travel to a factory near Cape Town in South Africa to see the very first hull of the radical new Onyx 10.5 catamaran. Built by a team determined to rethink what a small cruising catamaran can be, this bold design pushes boundaries both inside and out. We meet the founders to hear the story behind the project and learn how they set out to break away from the conventions of established sailing yacht boat builders. 2025 was the year we took the biggest leap of our lives, buying our very own catamaran and starting our first full liveaboard sailing season. And while it was hands-down the best year we’ve ever had, it also came with some of the most challenging, stressful, and downright terrifying moments we’ve ever faced at sea. In this week’s episode, we set off on an 18-hour overnight crossing back to the mainland that could have ended in disaster. From abandoning our first attempt to sailing through total darkness, our final passage from Corsica to Italy was pretty eventful. But what made everything a little more serious was how close we came to a powerful waterspout forming just behind us! Our biggest regrets (and the regrets we thought we’d have!) since buying our catamaran! We’ve been living full-time aboard our Excess 11 catamaran for just over 6 months now, and while it’s been the most incredible adventure of our lives… we’ve definitely made some mistakes along the way! In this week’s episode, we’re sharing our biggest regrets since moving onto Rúna — the bad decisions we’ve made and the things we really wish we did differently, but we’re also going to share some of our more controversial choices that everyone told us we’d regret, but instead, turned out to be the best decisions we’ve made yet!
