Island Escapes, Floating Cocktails & Spanish Festivals - Sailing Spain on Our Liveaboard Catamaran This week aboard Rúna has been all about exploring with friends and discovering hidden gems along the Spanish coast, away from the big, built-up cities. With two friends joining us onboard, we left the busy, built-up shores of La Manga and sailed in search of beautiful anchorages and a little more of the authentic Spain. Our first stop in this week's video was a tiny island with a population of just 50 people! Surrounded by crystal-clear waters, this little paradise was the perfect spot for swimming, exploring and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for! From there, we made a return to the populated Spanish coastline as we headed for Alicante, where we were swept up in a vibrant local festival before heading to the charming coastal town of Moraira. We wrapped up this incredible stretch of sailing in Dénia, where we were forced to dock up as our sails had to come off the boat. A rescue at sea, a surprise creature in our toilet and a tight bridge entry! This week aboard Rúna - our liveaboard catamaran - has been anything but ordinary! With a friend joining us on our journey along the Spanish coast, we faced one of our most unusual navigations yet - entering the Mar Menor in La Manga. We also coordinated our first-ever rescue at sea, saving a stranded sailor who had lost control of his boat and couldn't get back to shore! This week, our Mediterranean sailing adventure continues as we explore the stunning Spanish coastline! We kick things off with a trip inland to the magical city of Granada - one of our favourite cities EVER! Then it's back to boat life, as we sail along the coast and discover some of the most epic anchorages we've seen yet! Cala de San Pedro is definitely up there as one of our favourite places - a secluded bay home to an off-grid community living far away from any cities (but they have an epic bar). I can't believe I'm actually typing this but we've just ordered our very own yacht! This was such a big, shared dream for us, we never thought it would actually happen.
