X Series With Quentin Delapierre

He goes a lot faster than we do. From now on, he is tuning our boats. Quentin Delapierre, helmsman of the French SailGP team and of the French America's Cup challenge, is joining Outremer to develop the X-Series. The X-Series is our performance range. Same VPLP hulls, untouched. But every part that carries the weight is replaced with a lighter one. More equipment on board, and a lighter boat. Quentin will sail them and tune them with us. Deck layout, winch positions, the way they behave under sail. The 48 X first, then the 52, the 57 and the 64. He is not here to make our boats faster. He is here to make them easy to sail fast. By two people, not only by him. In mid-November we reveal the X-Series, and the design of the first boat built in its spirit: the Outremer 48 X.
