World War 2 Patriot Boat History / Coast Guard Picket Patrol Restoration Project

Ahoy Mates! In this video we get into the history of Tradition's service in the USCG's "Picket Patrols" along the east coast of the United States during WW2. While we are chatting we rebuild the corroborator on an old 2 stroke outboard motor. Poem by Craig Muhonen & Don Tompane Craig's father piloted a bomber in WW2, while Don's dad skippered Tradition. Craig was inspired by Don's stories of the great schooners and they worked together to create this beautiful poem.
