Webasto Marine Exhaust Silencer - Exhaust replacement - Boat Projects
In this video, we investigate a diesel smell coming from the Webasto diesel heater and replace the standard exhaust pipe with the marine exhaust silencer. Please be careful when working on these heaters and make sure your boat or vehicle is fitted with a carbon monoxide detector. The silencer while more expensive than the standard exhaust has really made a difference to the noise level of the heater. I would recommend you fit this, it's almost silent now from the outside. Also, make sure that you buy a marine version, as the ones for vehicles are not airtight and will let gasses escape into your boat.
