We had planned to be south by now - but here it is January 2021 and we're stuck in the snow. There is a huge storm about to hit, and our boat is LITERALLY freezing. We needed to have already winterized the boat, but I guess better late than never! Next week we'll become an icebreaker, hauling the boat out and getting out of the cold. Keep in mind we bought her at auction without ever meeting the owner! The owner was sailing along and ran aground - hard. Hard enough that the keel pivoted and pushed the aft end up into the hull. This force cracked the internal grid in several places and broke a portion of the grid free from hull. At some point an inspection was done, insurance was called and decisions were made.
