We lost our drone in the ocean – and with it, our favorite way of sharing the beauty of sailing life. It was supposed to be just another magical day at anchor in the Grénan archipelago. Swimming, paddleboarding, sunsets, snacks – and a quick drone flight before setting sail to Île-d'Houat. But things quickly spiraled. First a broken shackle. Then a forgotten bottom plug in the dinghy. And then… we crashed our DJI Mavic Air 2 straight into our dinghy. The drone sank. The footage was lost. Or so we thought. This is the full story of how it happened, how we tried to save it – and why we're launching a fundraiser to get back in the air.
