On our 43' Gulfstar we had some rot in a bulkhead that appeared to be from a leaking chain plate many years ago. The Chain plate had been fixed but the bulkhead had soft spots in it. As we continue our complete refit of our boat, we decided to use Git Rot Penetrating epoxy to essentially core the bulkhead with epoxy making it solid again. As we prepared for the repair (debating between replacing the portion of the bulkhead or another repair method) we found information about using Penetrating Epoxy, but not real videos that showed a job as large as ours. As in most of our projects, if we were not able to find good information on how to do our project, we have posted the video as a how to on both You Tube and our blog. http://dreamsfromthedoghouse.blogspot.com -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "How to repair a wooden mast, boom, spar or Bulkhead (Step by Step) " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Nxr-yxUjvQ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
