With excellent upwind and downwind abilities combined with high-speeds, Tiwals are a part of both fun and professional performance. -------------------------- Mary from Socorro, New Mexico, has had her Tiwal 2 sailboat for about two years, sailing in various lakes in the Mountain West. She often sails alone but wants to teach her cousins. Growing up, she learned to sail on Optimus prams and also sailed dinghies. She chose the Tiwal for its portable nature, as it fits in her Mini Cooper, and is happy with its ease of setup and performance in variable winds. Her main concern about fragility has been alleviated, as this inflatable sailboat has held up well on rocky lakes. A challenging experience involved complex currents on a lake in Arizona, but she enjoyed sailing to a cool rock outcrop. She hopes to sail this small sailboat in the ocean someday, as she has childhood experience with ocean sailing.
