With the approach of Typhoon 14, Wahine and I sought shelter in Onomichi, a famous cycling town where we hoped to find a micro-climate where we would be protected from the severity of the storm despite the eye wall passing near. It was remarkable what a difference a few meters can make in a storm. Also, I was reminded that Typhoons in the end are unpredictable.
