This week is all about the Volvo Penta S120 sail drive. I had already temporarily fitted it in order to make sure everything connected up properly. Now it was time to take it out again and take it apart in order to renew the diaphragm and give it a good paint job. I also decided to plug the hole where the seacock is installed and to fit a new raw water inlet in a more accessible location in the engine room. Along the way, I get to practice my techniques for removing broken studs. Oh what fun! This is the story of the building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. The videos are a week-by-week record of the build as it progresses and aim to show as much detail as possible of the various aspects of the build. These videos take a lot of time and effort to make, in what is already a time-intensive project. Your support in watching, subscribing and sharing these videos is very much appreciated. You make a real difference!!
