Seawind Catamarans launched a new 42 footer today, the all-new Seawind 1270, aiming to be the best 42-foot performance cruising catamaran on the market. ▫️ What do you think? 👇 ▫️ An update of the successful 1260, the new Seawind 1270 has been designed with 35 significant design changes and upgrades, the result of listening to their many 1260 owners throughout the world.  ▫️ The new design is 400mm longer and 120mm wider offering more comfort, stability and performance. She has been built to Category A, unlimited offshore certification. ▫️ The hulls are 60mm wider with a new underwater hull shape that keeps the stable windward experience but is optimised for more performance and speed both on and off the wind. The extra 60mm width combined with the vertical topsides provide significantly more interior space.  ▫️ The 1270 is available in either a three cabin, galley down version (a hallmark of Seawind’s success over many years) or a three cabin, galley up version. Or go 4 cabins. For the galley up version, a forward-facing navigation station has been added. ▫️ In the saloon, the day bed has been retained as well as the large forward facing opening windows, designed & built to Category A certification for open ocean sailing. 360 degree vision, ergonomics, and ventilation ✅ ▫️ She has side access gates and extended transoms for easier boarding plus 800mm stanchions with four lifelines for security at sea. ▫️ Standard propulsion is twin 29hp Yanmar diesels.
