The Heritage of the Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw

We stop at Alert Bay to visit the U’mista Cultural Center and are super exited when we find out that there will be some local dance performances at the long house. After a hearty Poutine we cast off again to a night stop in the Cattle Group before we set sails the next day to cross the Queen Charlotte Straight and past Cape Caution. Oh what a lovely sail! It always makes me so happy to see the sails up on Persistence. It’s as if she would spread her wings and happily glide over the ocean. Enjoy & Ahoy, Nike c/o SV Persistence
