The Casino Cocktail - A Classic Pre-Prohibition Era Recipe. Plus a bonus baby tour of Hog Island!

We decided to get off the boat for our recipe this week! We don't have a car here- totally wish we did so that we could more easily explore the inland areas of Grenada. For now, we jump along the coast from bay to bay via dinghy?we thought it would be fun to show you a behind the scenes look at how we get around on the daily. We love our little dingy and getting around this way is fun- it makes us quite happy! Beats traffic and the subway, for sure. Hog island is a very small island that sits vacant aside from Roger's rum shack and the veggie stand. It does get a little rowdy on Sundays when locals turn up to grill and bump Soca. The Casino is an absolute classic cocktail, dating back to before the prohibition. It's quite simple to make. We found this recipe to be tart and potent...that may have been because we didn't have maraschino liqueur. I wish we could get that product on our hands- it's very versatile! Either way, our official taste tester didn't seem to mind lol!
