Need gift ideas for the boater in your life? After a year and over 4000 miles of sailing, we've compiled a LIST of OUR TOP 21 lived with & MOST LOVED boat items. Happy gift giving! (Note: we are not making a profit from any of the items below, and we're not sponsored or affiliated with any of the following companies. These are just items we like and thought you might, too!) #boatlife #catamaran #sailingfamily #sailing #giftideas #musthaves THE LIST: links coming soon ? 21 - Quick Dry Shirts (Columbia & HUK are our favorites) 20 - Stemless, GLASS, wine glasses (because no one likes drinking wine out of plastic cups!) 19 - Deck of Cards (endless gaming options, yet compact & light weight) 18 - Waterproof bags (we recommend a BACKPACK, small bag for the dinghy, and a versatile fanny pack such as geckobrands) 17 - Industrial fan/"Blue Fan" (aka B-Air by Lasko - they're fairly compact, but are incredibly powerful, they've saved us more than once from the sweltering tropical heat.) 16 - Quick dry towels (we recommend organic cotton Turkish towels, ultra light weight/compact Matador towels, or an in between option such as Nomadix) 15 - Range finder (really helps gage boat distances when approaching an anchorage or hazard) 14 - Bamboo scrapers (helps reduce water usage in the galley - yellow scrapers for hull cleaning) 13 - Waterbottles & cup holders (we like Hydro Flask and Corkcicle brand water bottles because they keep water colder, longer, and stanchion cup holders from West Marine help protect them under way!) 12 - Luci Lights (Solar charging, light weight, inflatable, dimmable, and, well, really great! We like the red light version for night sailing) 11 - Portable speakers (we like Beosound and JBL speakers) 10 - Headlamp (don't skimp here - this is an item you will use ALL THE TIME! We like one with a red light option.) 9 - Flair Espresso machine (no electricity required and it makes killer espresso! Did I mention it's real pretty, too?!) 8 - Multimeter tester tool (essential tool for a boat) 7 - Movie Projector (no more ugly TV screen in the salon, and watching movies under the stars is so fun! Ours is a Nebula.) 6 - Multi-tool (if Nate could have this surgically attached to his body he would! He like Leatherman brand, but Gerber makes a great one, too) 5 - FATBOY bean bag chairs (WE LOVE our FATBOY beanbags! Get the outdoor version, but DO NOT BUY the floatation style - the quick dry fabric can't stand up to marine life) 4 - GoPro (Are they worth the hype? YEP! We use the 8 and 11 can't imagine life without them!) 3 - Good, polarized sunglasses (don't skimp here, either! And buy a back up pair, or two! We love Maui Jim's with blue lenses for sailing/life on the water. Megan wears VonZipper's, too) 2 - Marraige savers (two-way headsets that are invaluable in boat life) 1 - SCOUT GEAR!!!!! https://theletteringmachine.com/sailing_scout/shop/home (Perfect for anyone - and everyone?! - on your gift list! These stylish and high quality pieces are all the rage this season ?) Thanks for watching! We'd love to hear from you... LEAVE US A COMMENT, and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE!
