Join Chris Beeson and Yachting Reviews for our test of the Hylas H57 in a Force 6. We invented the 24-hour test because you learn so much more about a boat, good and bad, by using it as an owner would, albeit briefly. Vortec Marine in Swanwick, UK, invited us to test hull no.9 of this Bill Dixon-designed bluewater cruiser, which has been in production since 2020 at Queen Long Marine in Taiwan. Bill Dixon started working with Hylas in 2017, and his first design for them, the Hylas 48, was launched in 2018. Hylas is a semi-custom brand that has developed a reputation for liveaboard comfort, reliable ocean-going credentials, and good value compared to its competitors, thanks to lower labour costs (though no less skilled) in Taiwan. How did it sail? Could we move around safely under sail? What did we make of the hardtop? Here’s what we thought. What do you think? 360-Degree Virtual Tour: https://curl.ly/Hylas_h37-360 (please let us know if we should do more of these) - If you've enjoyed this video, please follow us on Facebook: https://facebook.com/61568933407191 for behind-the-scenes shenanigans as they happen. - Thanks for watching, if you've enjoyed the video, please help us by liking and sharing it☺️ We love reviewing yachts for you, but it costs money and pays little – for the moment, at least.
