Snow Gum has a Walder Boom Brake - Garcia Exploration 45

Hello to Simon from Sailing Ghost. Here's a video showing the details of the Walder Boom Brake. We've found that the Walder Boom Brake works well to take the bite out of a gybe. It takes some practice to get the tension right. If it's set too tight and we try to tack, sometimes the boom says 'No!' We're fairly sure this boom brake will earn its keep. It only has to do its job once to pay for itself. Yes, the line going across the side-deck is a bit of a pain, but we're used to it. It's right where we duck under the lower shroud, so we avoid both in the one fluid move. Think 'Gene Kelly' and you'll be fine. ???
