SI #749 - Watch Party, Day 8 (final day) of the LV Cup Round Robin stage

SAILING ILLUSTRATED #749 (Sun 8 Sep 2024) - ITA, GBR and USA are now through to the Semis. ITA will be the top dog, and have their choice of opponent in their Semi. The Swiss will go through to the Semis as the fourth team if they defeat ITA on Sunday. It SUI lose that match, as most expect they will, and the Brits beat the French, then SUI will still go through. However, if SUI lose and FRA win, they will end in a tie. That will be broken by a race-off between those two in a final match on Sunday. Note that Sunday's weather forecast is not great - light air and possible thunderstorms. If so, Race Director Iain Murray (AUS) may postpone all of Sunday's racing to Monday. Iain will make that call Sunday morning at approx 0900 local time (CET) in Barcelona - midnight in SF.
