Side Note: I have seen where people have mounted the distribution panel without any rubber insulation (i.e., they mounted the panel straight to the wood/fiberglass). While you should make sure all of your connections are mounted firmly to the terminal boards/breakers, and while your panel should never become charged, a short could cause the panel to dissipate heat into the wood. The breakers should trip fairly quickly, but you don't want to really on should and it's better to be safe rather than sorry. It should also be noted that I have a fire port for this panel (i.e., I can get a fire extinguisher behind the panel without having to unscrew anything). Perhaps most importantly, always have a certified marine electrician verify your work.
