Well thanks to HARBORBURN Cannon Co. we were ablet to pick up our customized cannon at the Annapolis Boat Show! Here comes the BOOM! A signal cannon, also known as a salute cannon, is a small cannon, typically less than two feet in length, used for signaling and saluting rather than for military combat. These cannons were historically used on ships and on land to announce arrivals, warn of danger, or signal distress. They are also commonly used for celebratory events, such as starting sailboat races or marking significant milestones. HARBORBURN makes the only legit, useable, black-powder, muzzle-loading, fuse-lighting, loud-blasting signal cannon on the market. Hand-stamped and customized for your boat name, the ‘Herrington Mk. 1’ cannons are useable artwork and will last a lifetime. HARBORBURN started as a passion project between four sailors who wanted a real, black-powder signal cannon for their own boats, but nothing was available…so we made one! And now it’s available to boats and cannon-enthusiasts alike.
