On reflection, I’m amazed that we hadn’t heard about Bruce Ritchie before Yachting World asked us to follow up re an Extraordinary Yachts article for their November issue. This energetic octogenarian who designed Revolver (a so-called ‘gentleman’s racer’) to share with his son Michael has been an unsung innovator in yacht design for much of his busy life. Revolver is like its designer, quietly ingenious.
