Reverie Windlass Project - We need your input !!!! - Sailboat restoration

Hello! As we continue our sailboat restoration, we are looking for ideas as to how to install our windlass. You have been watching our sailboat refit projects for Reverie our 1985 Pearson 34 sailboat. Reverie did not come with a Windlass and we want to install one, but we have some challenges. The anchor locker on Reverie is kind of on the way so it makes it hard to do maintenance on the bow of the boat below decks. So we are struggling with what to do..... - do we seal the hatch on the bow anchor locker and install a windlass..... - do we partially remove the anchor locker and install the windlass inside but open it up to have access to the bow for maintenance.... - should we install a manual windlass or an electric windlass? What have been your experience with these? We would like to request your input!! If you could please share with us pictures, videos, write-ups hand drawings or anything on how you solve this problem we would really appreciate it. Specially if you have done this on a Pearson 34.
