PETRIFIED FOREST NATIONAL PARK: The Rocks Are Kinda Shaped Like Trees

Dirt, rocks, a 28 mile long road, and petrified wood... that's The Petrified Forest National Park. It's also amazing, breathtaking, beautiful and mysterious. Thanks, Tambi, for opening my eyes to that. Honestly, I probably would never see places like this if it weren't for Tambi. It's been a mental battle, at times, to do this whole RV thing instead of sailing right now, but places like this make it worthwhile. Probably the weirdest part, for me, is looking at all of the pieces of petrified wood and realizing that they were already petrified when the dinosaurs were alive. Plus, I bet that for every piece of petrified wood that is visible above ground, there's got to be 1000s more still buried. Cool place. Pretty dirt. Long road.
