Race Day 1 of the Oyster Palma Regatta 2018 - Monday 1st October 2018. Race Day 1 - sponsored by Lewmar - got off to a flying start on Monday 1st October, with the 27-strong fleet of Oyster yachts racing around the Bay of Palma in near-perfect Champagne sailing conditions following a briefing at the Real Club Náutico de Palma. As the first race day drew to a close it was time to head to Palma’s beautiful Bellver Castle for the first prize-giving ceremony. Everyone swapped stories about the day’s events, sampled some delicious tapas and enjoyed lively flamenco dancing from the locals.
